Collegiate edu commissionerate comes into existence

The state government has merged the department of technical education with department of collegiate education.

An order issued by the Higher Education department on Tuesday read: , "now on the department will be called as Karnataka state collegiate and technical education commissionerate. The commissioner of collegiate education who is an IAS officer will be head and the director Technical Education works under him. However all other cadre and recruitment norms remain the same."
