<p>Bengaluru: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) organised the National Kannada Science Conference on Science and Technologies for Aerospace, Defence, and Social Applications on Thursday.</p>.<p>The event celebrated the golden jubilee of 'Kanaada', the annual Kannada science magazine published by CSIR-NAL's Kannada Samskruthika Sangha.</p>.<p>Addressing the gathering remotely, CSIR director general N Kalaisevi praised the initiative.</p>.CSIR-NAL celebrates 50th edition of science magazine 'Kanaada'.<p>"The Kannada Samskruthika Sangha’s decision to disseminate science through this forum in the regional language, rather than English, is highly meaningful. Starting something is easy, but sustaining it for 50 years is truly commendable," she said.</p>.<p>The inaugural session featured CK Aatre, former head of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), as the chief guest. He was honoured by senior members of CSIR-NAL and the CSIR Fourth Paradigm Institute.</p>.<p>Isro Chairman S Somanath shared a message for the occasion, stating: "This conference provides a valuable platform for young scientific minds in Karnataka, fostering collaboration among academic, research, and development institutions, as well as industries."</p>
