The Konaje police arrested a man who was attempting to sell ganja at Narya Cross in Balepuni of Bantwal taluk.
The arrested is Mohammed Basheer, 21, of Manjeshwara. The police have seized 1.3 kg of Ganja and mobile phone from the arrested. The value of the seized property is Rs 22,000. Basheer was involved in theft in a mobile shop at Mudipu.
The police have taken two persons to custody in connection with assaulting an autorickshaw driver, at Jeppinamogaru on December 27. The arrested are Bhavith Raj of Neerumarga and Venkatesh of Tumakuru. The police have seized a car from the arrested. The duo had assaulted auto driver Mohammed Shakeer and also abused him. A case has been registered.
