Grameena Santhe Okkuta will organise organic millets and jackfruit fair mela titled Grameena Santhe, at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavana, in Mangaluru from July 20 to 22, said Okkuta Director Lainkaje Ramachandra.
He said Mangaluru City South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath and Mangaluru City North MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty will inaugurate the fair. IGP (Western range) Arun Chakravarthy will be the chief guest. Food products from Kerala and Karnataka will be sold in the fair.
In addition, beauty products, millets dosa, delicious food, home-made chocolates and delicacies during the month of Aati will be available. Jackfruit ice cream will be one of the attraction at the fair. There are plans to organise grameena santhe in Udupi and Kundapura as well.
