<p class="title">Udupi district administration has banned the movement of heavy traffic vehicles (HTV) on Balebare Ghat (state highway-52) with immediate effect.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Udupi Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis, said that the movement of heavy vehicles would damage roads and bridges on the stretch.</p>.<p class="bodytext">All heavy vehicles including tankers, fish cargo containers, long chassis vehicles, multi-axle trucks, truck trailers- are banned on the stretch.</p>
