HTV entry into Balebare Ghat banned

Udupi district administration has banned the movement of heavy traffic vehicles (HTV) on Balebare Ghat (state highway-52) with immediate effect.

Udupi Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis, said that the movement of heavy vehicles would damage roads and bridges on the stretch.

All heavy vehicles including tankers, fish cargo containers, long chassis vehicles, multi-axle trucks, truck trailers- are banned on the stretch.
