Karnataka CM, DKS to visit New Delhi this week

Bengaluru, DHNS: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy D K Shivakumar are slated to visit New Delhi on July 25, making it their third trip to the national capital since last month. They are likely to meet the Congress’s top brass to finalise four MLC nominees and appointments to boards/corporations.

Home Minister G Parameshwara said Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar would attend the Congress’ backward classes advisory council meeting on July 25, similar to the one held recently in Bengaluru. “Naturally, during the visit, they will also meet the high command,” he added.

Parameshwara headed a committee to submit a list of party workers to be appointed as members or directors at various state-run boards and corporations. “It’s been six months since I submitted the list. The process is said to have been completed and things are in the final stage. As per my information, the announcement will be made very soon,” he said.
