<p>Udupi: The local Brahmavar police have arrested a criminal involved in multiple theft cases and recovered Rs 36,000 worth of stolen cash and property.</p><p>The arrest is linked to a theft that took place on August 4 at the Chantaru village under the jurisdiction of Brahmavar Police Station. A pigmy collection agent had parked his motorcycle and locked the side box containing the collected cash before heading to a hotel for further collection. Police recovered Rs 32,000 in cash and a mobile phone from the arrested, said Udupi SP Hariram Shankar.</p><p>The operation was carried out under guidance of Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar, and Additional SP Sudhakar Naik. The investigation and arrest were led by Prabhu DT, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Udupi Sub-Division, under the direction of Gopikrishna, CPI Brahmavar.</p>
