<p>Bengaluru: After missing three deadlines, the State Education Policy (SEP) Commission is set to finally submit its report to the government this week.</p>.<p>Higher Education Minister Dr M C Sudhakar on Wednesday said that he, School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa and officials of both the departments were being briefed about the new SEP report, before its submission to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. </p>.<p>“The SEP report will be submitted in a day or two. The Commission is waiting for chief minister’s appointment,” Sudhakar added.</p>.<p>However, Sudhakar said that there would be no confusion about the implementation of the SEP report.</p>.Learning the NEP way.<p>“The National Education Policy (NEP) was implemented by the BJP government at Higher Education level in a hurry. There is no confusion to implement SEP report as we have already withdrawn the four-year degree programme and also the multiple entry exit options based on the interim report of SEP commission,” Sudhakar added. </p>.<p>The SEP will replace the NEP, which the Congress government has decided to reject. The state government constituted the State Education Policy (SEP) Commission in October 2023, headed by former University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Sukhadeo Thorat and 15 other members.</p>.<p>The first deadline given by the government for the Commission to submit the report was February 2024. The same was extended till December 2024 following the request from the Commission.</p>.<p>Again, it was extended till May 2025 as the Commission had to translate the report from English to Kannada.</p>
