KPCL proposes two more pumped power storage projects

'Approval has been granted for the proposal of a 1,600 MW pumped storage project in Saundatti in Belagavi district,' executive engineer V M Vijay said at a press conference on Tuesday.

Karwar: Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) executive engineer V M Vijay said that proposals have been put forward to take up pumped storage projects in Saundatti of Belagavi district and in Ballari district, apart from the Sharavathi Pumped Power Storage Project. “Approval has been granted for the proposal of a 1,600 MW pumped storage project in Saundatti in Belagavi district,” he said at a press conference on Tuesday.
