Kukke temple donates Rs 3 cr to CM’s relief fund

Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple donated Rs 3 crore to the Chief Minister’s flood relief fund on Thursday.

Temple Managing Committee Chairman Nityananda Mundodi handed over the cheque to Vijaya Bank, Subrahmanya branch manager. Speaking on the occasion, Nityananda said that the amount will be transferred to the Muzrai Department account through RTGS.

Earlier, it was decided during the managing committee meeting to contribute Rs 2 crore towards flood relief. But as the state government earmarked the amount to be donated from the temples coming under Muzrai department, Rs 3 crore has been handed over to the department, he added.

Temple CEO Ravindra H M, Managing Committee members Balakrishna Balleri, Rajivi Rai R, Madhava D, Zilla Dharmika Parishat member Vimala Rangaiah and Master Plan committee member Shivarama Rai were present on the occasion.
