Leopard found dead

A leopard was found dead at Kanivebasavanahalli in taluk on Tuesday.

The carcass was discovered by forest officials in a plantain plantation, after receiving complaints about a leopard attack on a person.

Gopal was attacked by the leopard and it also sustained injuries. He was working in his plantain plantation, when he was attacked in the wee hours. However, he escaped with minor injuries.

Forest officials said, the leopard might have been injured when it attacked Gopal.
Leopard is said to have succumbed to the injuries it had suffered in the wild.
