Two persons visited a house under the pretext of asking for drinking water and assaulted and issued a life threat to the woman of the house on Thursday night.
The incident took place in Doddabilaha village in Dundalli Gram Panchayat limits.
Shivamma (68) was living alone in her house. Pawan Kumar and Dinesh are the accused. Both of them knocked on the door and when Shivamma opened the door, asked for drinking water.
Later, they picked up a fight in connection with money. They also hurled abuses at her and assaulted her with a knife. The accused further threatened Shivamma of dire consequences.
On the basis of a complaint by Shivamma, a case has been registered at the Shanivarasanthe police station.
