The state BJP has started to shift gears ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. The party has started the process of short-listing its cadre to work full time till the end of the elections.

“Lok Sabha poll dates can be announced anytime now. We will have to work full time till election day. I have also decided to go home for the barest minimum till the polls are complete”, BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa said in his address to the ‘pramukhs’ (heads) of 10 Shakti Kendras in the run-up to the parliamentary polls in Bengaluru on Friday.

Shakti Kendra pramukhs serve as grass root level in-charge at the booth level for the party. Yeddyurappa urged the party workers to live up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expectation of winning 300 seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections by emerging victorious in all the 28 seats from the state.

Yeddyurappa’s call to party workers comes a day after he came under fire for his statement that the Indian Air Force’s pre-emptive strike inside Pakistan territory would help the party secure at least 22 out of 28 seats in Karnataka. “We have to live up to the expectation of Modiji by winning more than 300 seats and hence, we have to win all the 28 seats in Karnataka. This is the responsibility we have,” Yeddyurappa said.

He said all full-time workers selected should work towards making the party’s slogan “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot”, for aggressive campaigning ahead of the elections a reality.

Make Modi PM again

Yeddyurappa said it was the responsibility of all the party workers to put in all their efforts to make Modi prime minister again.

“Prime Minister Modi did not take rest for even a single day in the last four-and-a-half years. You have noticed that he is toiling hard to make India and the party stronger,” Yeddyurappa said.
