<p>New Delhi: The Union Jal Shakti Ministry has extended the tenure of the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal for one year with effect from August 16.</p>.<p>The Tribunal was constituted in November 2010 to resolve the sharing of Mahadayi water among Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra.</p>.Mahadayi Project: Shettar condemns Goa CMs statement .<p>Accordingly, a gazette notification to this effect was issued last week, extending its tenure under the Inter-State River Water Disputes Act, 1956.</p>.<p>The Tribunal published its final award in August 2018, but all three states raised objections. Goa also approached the Supreme Court against the final award.</p>.<p>Since then, the Tribunal has received several extensions. </p>
