<p>Bengaluru: A police sub-inspector posted in Chikkamagaluru has been booked in Bengaluru for dowry harassment and attempted murder based on a complaint from his wife. </p>.<p>Kishore P, posted at the Mudigere police station, has been named accused number one in the FIR filed under the Dowry Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections related to attempted murder, cruelty towards a married woman, criminal insult, and criminal intimidation. However, his wife spurned the demands, and the policeman began physical assaulting her, the FIR notes. </p>.<p>The woman stated that while her husband had saved her from suicide, he didn't stop torturing her. </p>
