'Muslim burial ground misused'

The members of Jamats and executive committees of all mosques in the city submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner stating that the Khabarsthan belonged to the entire Muslim community but not to any individual. Some persons have registered the land belonging to the burial ground in their name by using their influence in the CMC. This illegal change of ‘khata’ should be cancelled immediately, they urged.
