Mysuru adjudged cleanest city

Mysuru has been adjudged one of the cleanest cities among the urban areas having a population with less than 10 lakh.

As per the results of Swachh Survekshan 2018, which aims to estimate levels of cleanliness across cities in the country, Mangaluru has emerged as the best city in solid waste management among cities with less than 10 lakh population.

Hunsur in Mysuru district is rated the best city in solid waste management among urban areas with less than one lakh population, Minister of State for Housing Hardeep Singh Puri said here on Wednesday. At the national level, Indore emerged as the cleanest city, followed by Bhopal and Chandigarh. Jharkhand was adjudged the best-performing state in the survey followed by Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
