<p class="bodytext">The district development committee has urged the Kerala state government to take measures to repair the pothole-filled NH 66 from Manjeshwar to Kalikadavu in Kasargod district.</p>.<p class="bodytext">In a meeting, MP Karunakaran said that the surface of the road has been chipped off, causing inconvenience to the vehicle users. He said that a meeting of MLAs of the district has been convened on August 4 to discuss on the need to urge the government to repair the stretch.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He directed the officials to set right disruption in power supply in the district. The Kerala State Electricity Board officials were asked to submit a detailed report on the problems in power supply in Kasargod.</p>.<p class="bodytext">It was also decided at the meeting to submit a comprehensive report on the development of roads under the Pradhan Manthri Grameena Road and the MLA special package.</p>.<p class="bodytext">New CCTV cameras will be installed on strategic locations along the highway, as the installed CCTV cameras have become defunct.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The MP said that encroachment of the roads will be cleared. About 7,430 complaints on re-survey of the land will be cleared in the second week of August.</p>
