<p>The CID on Monday morning took the seven arrested, who were involved in the PSI recruitment scam, to Jnanjyothi English Medium school which was one of the exam centres in Kalaburagi. </p>.<p>The sleuths had last week already arrested K Praveen Kumar, Aruna Patil, Veeresh Nidagunda, the candidates and Jnanajyothi English Medium School teachers Suma, Siddamma and Savitri.</p>.<p>Three candidates and three invigilators were brought to the school for spot inspection. A CID team led by additional SP Raghavendra Hegde, DySPs Shankargouda Patil and Prakash Rathod stepped up the probe. </p>.<p>Of the three arrested candidates, while two wrote the exam on the second floor, one attended it on the first floor. The sleuths searched the office of the fugitive school president Divya Hagaragi, a BJP leader, and the headmaster.</p>.<p>They collected CCTV footage and seized some gadgets from the school. </p>.<p>Meanwhile, the CID sleuths who raided the house of main accused Divya Hagaragi on Sunday, arrested her husband Rajesh Hagaragi on Sunday late night for not cooperating in the probe. With his arrest, the number of <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/state/karnataka-districts/psi-recruitment-scam-six-more-arrested-1101341.html">arrested persons</a> in the scam gone up to eight.</p>.<p>Jnana Jyothi English Medium School on Gokul road of Kalaburagi city was one of the centres where the PSI recruitment examination was held last October. One of the candidates who appeared for the examination had answered only 21 questions on his OMR sheet leaving others blank. The photocopy of his OMR sheet which was obtained from the recruitment cell showed that he answered all the questions.</p>.<p>A CID police team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Raghavendra Hegde, DySPs Shankargouda Patil and Prakash Rathod are probing the scam. </p>.<p><strong>BJP maintains distance </strong></p>.<p>BJP has maintained a distance from Kalaburagi-based BJP woman leader Divya Hagaragi who is alleged to have been involved in the PSI recruitment scam. </p>.<p>Spokesperson and MLA Rajkumar Patil Telkur has made it clear that the party is nothing to do with the accused leader. Neither the party nor the government will tolerate if anybody or Divya is involved in the scam, he said. "They will be punished if their role is proved in the scam. The Basavaraj Bommai-led state government has ordered for the CID probe into the scam," he told.</p>.<p>Contrary to his statement, photographs of Divya Hagaragi posing with senior BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra and other BJP leaders have been stuck on the walls of the school in question.
