District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar said that reservation for mayor and deputy mayor, for Mysuru, would be announced on Wednesday.
.
Speaking to reporters here, on Monday, Somashekar said, "The reservation for the posts will be announced soon. The matter is with Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. Reservation of all municipalities would be announced on Wednesday."
.
When asked about the alliance with the JD(S) to elect the mayor, Somashekar said, "The party will decide about it shortly. I have observed Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah’s statement that the Congress will not join hands with the JD(S). A decision about joining hands with the JD(S) will be taken on Wednesday."
.
Somashekar slammed Siddaramaiah for describing the state government as 'Dakota express' and said that the Opposition party itself is ‘Dakota’.
.
"Will the Congress ever appreciate the ruling party? The duty of the Opposition leaders is to visit every district to inspect the works. But, no Opposition leader is doing their duty, despite facilities provided by the government. They will understand the works, only if they visit the districts,” he said.
.
"The Opposition leaders are just attending the Assembly session.
