<p>Inaugurating the campus of the Karnataka Institute of Diabetology (KID), the minister said the government will ensure that as many as 5,860 medical students serve at primary health centres.<br /><br />“One year of house surgeonship in rural areas will be made part of the curriculum,” Ramdas said.<br /><br />“Anticipating legal hurdles, we are amending the bill to ensure that it is not challenged in any court of law,” said Ramdas. Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda assured the KID of all possible help.</p>
