Siddaganga seer showing signs of improvement: Docs

Siddaganga seer Shivakumar Swami showed signs of improvement on Saturday and is expected to recover fully in a few days, said doctors. Dr Paramesh of Siddaganga Hospital, who is monitoring seer’s health, told reporters on Saturday, “The seer was able to breathe on his own for four hours on Saturday morning. The condition of the seer is stable.”

“According to blood test report on Saturday, the albumin and protein levels are still low. Protein level on Saturday was 2.8 while it was 2.7 on Friday. Accumulation of fluid in the lungs would come down, if the protein level goes up further,” said doctors .Over 70 students of Siddaganga School for Blind, on Saturday chanted Panchakshari mantra for 104 times outside the old mutt, where the seer is undergoing treatment for lung and bile duct infections, for the speedy recovery of the seer. The school for the blind is seer’s pet project, said B L Chandrashekar, headmaster of the school.
