SSLC: Students add feathers to their caps

City lads continue to shine in various exams

She scored 618 for a total of 625 marks, becoming third topper in the state, second in district and first in her school-Sadvidya.

Pratheeksha has to her credit eighth rank in National Talent Search Exams (NTSE) conducted in 2008, and is bestowed with scholarship.

She won a gold medal in high school level Ramayana exams in 2008, silver in Mahabharatha exams in 2009, conducted by Bharata Samskrithi Prathishtana, Bangalore.

Also a bright student in quiz, she finished fourth in the state-evel science quiz competition conducted by Department of Science and Technology recently.

She was feted with a cash prize given by the Department of Woman and Child Welfare for her oustanding achievements in academics.

Pratheeksha is the daughter of K L Nayak, Manager (retd.,) Canara Bank and Sabitha Nayak, working at Corporation Bank, Mysore main branch.

Suhail Azam Khan, a student of Sadvidya High School has secured 612 marks in the recently held SSLC exams.

He has scored 122 for a total of 125 in first language-Kannada, 98 in each of second and third languages, cent per cent in maths and 97 in each of science and social science.

He is the son of Ashraf Khasim Khan M K, said a release.

Vivek excels without tuitions

M G Vivek, has secured 92 per cent (550/ 600) in the recently announced second PUC exam results. A student of PCMB at Sadvidya College, he claims to have not gone for extra coaching in private tuitions.

Earlier in SSLC too he had passed in distinction and had bagged 23rd rank in NTSC exams in 2008, said a release. He is the son of K Gururaj, UDC at Central Sericulture and Gowramma couple, Gandhinagar here.
