<p align="justify">Union Minister of State for Ayush Shripad Naik, also a Member of Parliament from Goa, said on Monday that Karnataka and Goa should resolve the Mahadayi dispute amicably.</p>.<p align="justify">Speaking to reporters here, Naik said Karnataka and Goa were neighbouring states and should come to the aid of each other. The Mahadayi dispute should not have prolonged and both the states should have resolved it through talks long ago, he said.</p>.<p align="justify">The Mahadayi issue should be resolved within or outside the tribunal, he added.</p>.<p align="justify">Belgaum MP Suresh Angadi said the negligent attitude of the Congress in the state (Karnataka) had kept the Mahadayi dispute alive.</p>
