<p>The arrested are Damodar of Garadimajalu and Pradeep. The duo were into stealing fish for the last 2-3 years and were working in port itself. The boats which go for deep sea fishing comes back with bounty once in 12 to 15 days.<br /><br />After anchoring the boat, fishermen take rest. While fishermen take rest, the duo were entering storage room and stealing three to four boxes of fish. Each box will have 7,000-8,000 fish, each worth Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000. The fish from Malpe is being transported to Goa, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. <br /><br />Fisherwomen purchase the basketful of fish previous day itself and keep in the storage room and the duo were stealing the same. However, nobody were suspected the duo. <br /><br />On Wednesday, when the boxes carrying prawns were found to be less in number, a few suspected the duo. Upon questioning, they revealed the truth. It is said that the duo had stolen even mobilephones and watches. A case has been registered in Malpe police station.</p>
