<p>The vice-chancellors of Karnataka govt-run universities have been directed to complete the vaccination process of students by July 7.</p>.<p>Higher Education Minister Dr <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/state/top-karnataka-stories/vaccines-not-mandatory-for-students-karnataka-minister-1003434.html" target="_blank">C N Ashwath Narayan told this to the vice-chancellors</a> at a meeting on Thursday. The ongoing vaccination drive for students, teaching and non-teaching staff touched the 2,58,069 figure as of June 30.</p>.<p>He also informed the vice-chancellors that the reopening of offline classes depends on the success rate of the vaccination drive for students.</p>.<p>"If needed, the deadline can be extended for 2 to 3 days more.
