The owner of 'Mysore Cafe' opened the place after his visit to Mysore and loving the cuisines there, and later wanted to introduce the Karnataka delicacies to the people of Japan.

Imagine finding flavours of Karnataka in Japan: A travel vlogger named Shwetha Aradhya recently posted a video on her Instagram account after coming across 'Mysore Cafe' in Japan's Tokyo that serves authentic South Indian food.

Following recipes from Karnataka's Mysuru-style cookbook, the restaurant offers dishes like lemon rice and Chikkamagaluru filter coffee.

The owner of 'Mysore Cafe' opened the place after his visit to Mysore and loving the cuisines there, and later wanted to introduce Karnataka's delicacies to the people of Japan.

"Mysore Cafe is an absolute gem for South Indian cuisine lovers. From the moment I walked in, the aromas transported me back home. I savored their lemon rice, a delightful blend of tanginess and traditional spices, paired perfectly with a steaming cup of Chikmagalur coffee," she wrote in the caption.

Talking about the ambience, Shwetha described it as "warm and inviting".

"The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy authentic flavors," she further added.

The video since posted has garnered over 89k likes and a flurry of comments, showering love from Karnataka.

Featured in 'Vegewel', an online platform in Japan that is dedicated to plant-based living, has called the Mysore Cafe as a place where people can enjoy South Indian home-cooked food and drinks.
