<p class="title">A one-day workshop on “Designer Drugs – Escalating Public Health Challenge” will be held at KMC Interact Lecture Hall here, on March 12 from 9 am.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The workshop is jointly organised by MAHE's Centre for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances (CNPS), Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology Centre for Clinical Forensics.</p>.<p class="bodytext">CNPS Coordinator Dr Shreekumar Menon said the workshop would discuss topics like--challenges of new and emerging drugs, drug analogues and novel substances – emerging trends and analytical challenges, Designer Drugs – chemical content and effects – poisoning and overdoses and recent trends in Designer Drugs abuse–a challenge for enforcement agencies and others.</p>
