<p>Thiruvananthapuram: BJP top leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that BJP will come to power in Kerala in 2026 and will also form government in Tamil Nadu soon.</p><p>Kicking off BJP's works for the upcoming local body elections in Kerala, Shah asked the party workers to work towards increasing the party's vote share to 25 per cent.</p><p>"The narrative of Congress and Communist parties that the BJP is a north Indian party is proving false. The party already came to power in Assam and Odisha. It became the biggest party in Telangana and will soon form government in Tamil Nadu. BJP's vote share in Kerala is increasing in each election. Kerala became a safe shelter for extremist outfits during the LDF and UDF rules. The BJP took stern action against outfits like the Popular Front of India and will make the country naxal free by 2026 March. BJP should come to power in Kerala for materializing the 'Viksit Kerala' mission. He also listed out a slew of development projects, including the Vizhinjam international seaport, as Narendra Modi government's initiatives for Kerala's development.</p><p>"Kerala was so far witnessing LDF-UDF adjustment politics with no benefits for the state. Only the BJP can bring in change."</p><p>Earlier during the day, Shah inaugurated a new headquarters building of BJP in the state capital. He is also holding a meeting with party new state leadership led by Rajeev Chandrasekhar and also offer prayers at the Rajarajeshwara temple at Kannur before leaving the state by night.</p>
