<p>Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday cancelled the rank list of Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical (KEAM) entrance exam.</p><p>Changes made by the state government in the normalisation methodology by giving more weightage for marks secured by students in Kerala state syllabus for higher secondary exams was challenged by a few students in the CBSE and ICSE stream citing that the changes were made after the exams were held.</p><p>Justice D K Singh ordered that a new rank list should be published on the basis of the weightage mentioned in the original prospectus.</p><p>Higher education minister R Bindu said that the government would file appeal against the HC order. The rank list was published on July 1 soon after announcing the new methodology. </p><p>Students of CBSE and ICSE streams maintained that their ranks went down drastically compared to the ranks secured by students with the same scores in the previous years. The last minute changes made arbitararily were unfair, the students maintained.</p><p>Admissions to engineering, architecture and pharmacy courses in the state are made from the KEAM examination rank list.</p>
