Kerala police summon actor Shine Tom Chacko after fleeing hotel during drug raid

Thiruvananthapuram: Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who fled from a hotel in Kochi during a search by an anti-narcotic team of police on Wednesday night, has been summoned by the Kochi city police.

A police team served the notice at Chacko's house on Friday. His father later told reporters that Chacko would appear before the police by 3 pm on Saturday.

Meanwhile, actress Vincy Aloshious, who alleged that the actor misbehaved under the influence of drugs at a film set, refused to give any complaint to the police.

The police was learnt to have summoned the actor to inquire about the reasons for fleeing the hotel during the search by the police's district anti-narcotics special action force team. No case was registered in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile, the government is planning to file an appeal against a recent court order acquitting Chacko in a case for possessing cocaine at a smoke party in Kochi. The court had cited serious procedural lapses on the part of the police.
