Malayalam actor Honey Rose files complaint against businessman Boby Chemmanur

Thiruvananthapuram: Malayalam actor Honey Rose has filed a police complaint against businessman Boby Chemmanur , alias 'Boche' accusing him of making sexually abusive comments insulting womanhood.

The Kochi city police decided to register a case against Chemmanur by invoking non-bailable sections.

Rose had made a social media post the other day warning of legal action against an individual who has been making insulting remarks against her. She had not revealed the name of the person then.

On Tuesday, she formally filed a complaint with the Kochi city police against Chemmannur.

Police sources said that a case under section 75 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita will be registered against Chemmanur.

Chemmanur reacting to this told a TV channel that his remarks were twisted by some others to insult Rose and he was also sad to know that it hurt her.

On Monday, the police held a 60-year-old man from Kochi and booked around 30 others for making sexually abusive comments through social media. The Kochi city police have sought the help of social media firms to track the accused.
