<p>Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala's Nilambur P V Anvar, who formed the Democratic Movement of Kerala (DMK) after breaking from the <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/cpi-m">CPI(M)</a>-led LDF, has joined the <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/trinamool-congres">All India Trinamool Congress</a> (TMC).</p><p>The move comes within few days after Anvar expressing interest to join the Congress-led United Democratic Front in Kerala. Anvar's induction will pave the way for TMC to make its entry to Kerala. Anvar is a second time MLA from Malappuram district's Nilambur constituency, which is part of Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency represented by Congress top leader Priyanka Gandhi.</p><p>Anvar joined the TMC in the presence of the party national general secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee on Friday. "Extending a very warm welcome to Anvar who joined the TMC family today," TMC said in a social media post.</p><p>Anvar after joining the TMC said that owing to chances of disqualification he would not take official membership in TMC, but will work as TMC's state coordinator.</p>.Dissident ruling from MLA held in Kerala for violent protest over man's death in wild elephant attack.<p>However, sources said that Anvar's statement as well as TMC's official announcements could be even made grounds for initiating disqualification. But the ruling Left-front might take steps to disqualify Anvar cautiously as it could lead to a by-poll and if Anvar wins the by-poll, it would be damaging for the CPI(M).</p><p>Anvar, who is a second time MLA from Nilambur in Malappuram district, had quit the LDF recently after raising series of allegations against the Chief Minister's office and some IPS officers. He later formed Democratic Movement of Kerala and tried to enter into an alliance with the DMK in Tamil Nadu, which was not successful. </p>.<p>Earlier this week, Anvar openly stated that he wished to work with the UDF after Congress leaders strongly flayed his arrest for staging a protest march to a forest officer following the death of a person in a wild elephant attack. A section in the Congress was unhappy over Anvar entering UDF as the MLA had made a personal remarks against Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi during the Lok Sabha election campaign by stating that Rahul's DNA needed to be tested.</p><p>Anvar hailed from a traditional Congress family of Malappuram and entered politics through Congress.</p>
