The EC said it has received the AAP representation on the withdrawal of candidature and it has been forwarded to Gujarat Chief Electoral Officer for investigation with an instruction to take action as warranted.</p>.<p>As AAP claimed that its candidate was kidnapped and pressured to withdraw by the BJP, Jariwala sought to defend his action through a video message in which he claimed that people repeatedly told him that he was "anti-national and anti-Gujarat" and they would not support him. </p>.<p>"Getting such negative feedback from the public, my conscience cried. He alleged this was done on the direct orders of state BJP chief CR Patil.</p>.<p>In a Facebook post, he said, "in a democracy, if you really want to end such anti-social corruption, then you should openly support me..." </p>
