<p>Mumbai: Taking a tough stance, veteran politician and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi founder Prakash Ambedkar on Sunday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar whether the United States forced India for a ceasefire to save Pakistan.</p><p>Dr Ambedkar, a lawyer-activist-politician, who is a two-time Lok Sabha MP and one-term Rajya Sabha MP, is the grandson of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Constitution of India.</p><p>Asserted that he has always supported and will always support the Government of India and the Indian Armed Forces in their responses to foreign aggression, the 70-year-old leader asked a series of questions to the Centre on the India-Pakistan tensions and Operation Sindoor undertaken to avenge the killing of tourists in Pahalgam in the Kashmir Valley.</p><p>“Why did we first get to hear of the ceasefire from the US President, and not from the PM or EAM. The statement of US President Donald Trump was patronising and condescending towards our nation and foreign policy. It was very evident from the MEA media briefings that we had an upper hand in the conflict. So, why did we listen to the US and agree to a ceasefire when Pakistan was the aggressor? Did the US force us to agree to a ceasefire so that the US could save Pakistan and earn their trust,” Ambedkar said. </p>.Owaisi calls Pakistan a 'global threat', asks world to unite against its nuclear arsenal.<p>According to him, Pakistan has significantly reduced its reliance on US economic and military aid by establishing strategic partnerships with other world powers such as China. </p><p>“Did the US want to get in the good books of Pakistan again? Pakistan’s limited ammunition would have lasted only 10 days. We had the opportunity to permanently finish Pakistan and its sponsored terrorism, and we lost this opportunity,” he said. </p><p>Ambedkar said Pakistan used military equipment supplied by the US, China and Turkey to attack India.</p><p>“On the night of May 8, Indian forces witnessed unprecedented drone intrusions, with over 300 to 400 unmanned aerial vehicles attempting to cross into Indian territory at 36 different locations. During a media briefing, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi confirmed that the drones used were the Songar armed drone systems, manufactured by Turkish defence firm Asisguard. Terrorists were given State funerals in the presence of the Pakistani Army in Pakistan. Turkey, Azerbaijan and China came in support of Pakistan,” he said.</p><p>Will the US, Turkey, Azerbaijan and China take responsibility for Pakistan-sponsored terrorism on Indian territory in the future, asked Ambedkar.</p><p>"Has our response to Pakistan’s sponsored terrorism deterred Pakistan from carrying out terrorism in the future on our soil? We need an effective strategic military approach to deter Pakistan and its sponsored terrorism,” he said. </p><p>According to him, India should use all its diplomatic, economic, legal or other measures to regionally and economically isolate Pakistan as the axis of evil. “India should start with making efforts to put Pakistan in the FATF grey list and isolate it in the European Union! India should revisit its Tibet policy,” he said. </p>
