<p>Mumbai: As Maharashtra braces up for the iconic Ganeshotsav festival, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday hoped that there would be themes on Operation Sindoor highlighting the role of Indian armed forces. </p><p>“The public Ganeshotsav mandals should create awareness about India’s prowess shown to the world through Operation Sindoor,” said Fadnavis, who is the state’s Home Minster. </p>.Ganeshotsav declared Maharashtra’s state festival.<p>“Lets celebrate Ganeshotsav in a peaceful and enthusiastic atmosphere,” the Chief Minister said during a meeting to review the law and order preparedness ahead of the festival. </p><p>Incidentally, Ganeshotsav has been declared as Maharashtra’s ‘state festival’ from 2025 - and the celebrations are expected to be much bigger in size and scale. </p><p>Ganeshotsav is the biggest festival of Maharashtra - and the public mandals often are based on themes on religious, historical, cultural and contemporary issues. </p><p>The Pahalgam attack on tourists and the Operation Sindoor is one of the biggest happenings of 2025 - and many themes are expected on this operation against Pakistan. </p><p>At the review meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Minister of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Mangalprabhat Lodha , Minister of State for Home (Rural) Dr Pankaj Bhoyar, Minister of State for Home (Urban) Yogesh Kadam were present. </p><p>“The State government has given Ganeshotsav the status of a state festival. Therefore, a large-scale and detailed planning has been made by the state government to celebrate this festival. All the concessions given to Ganeshotsav mandals last year will be maintained this year as well. Since the Eid-e-Milad festival also falls during Ganeshotsav, care should be taken to ensure that law and order and religious harmony is maintained,” the CM said. </p>
