<p>The personal security officer (PSO) of a senior minister in Jammu and Kashmir fled with two rifles on Saturday, prompting police to launch a massive manhunt.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Sources told Deccan Herald that constable Naseer Ahmad Pandith went missing from the police post guarding residence of R&B Minister Altaf Bukhari, along with two AK-47 rifles and two magazines from the guard room late last night.<br />“As per the reports gathered by the security agencies, Naseer fled with three youths who are said to have been waiting from him in nearby locality. A colleague of Naseer had gone to offer prayers and had left his rifle with him,” they said. <br /><br />The PSO, a 2007 recruit in the J&K Police, belongs to Pulwama district of South Kashmir and was appointed the minister’s guard 12 days ago. The police have registered a case and started investigation.</p>
