Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday tweeted in Japanese to congratulate Shinzo Abe for leading the ruling coalition to a massive victory.
“Heartiest greetings to my dear friend @AbeShinzo on his big election win. Look forward to further strengthen India-Japan relations,” Modi tweeted.

The Liberal Democratic Party led by Abe and its ally Komeito secured a two-third majority in the House of Representatives – the lower House of Diet, Japan's parliament.
Modi first tweeted in English and tagged his post with the twitter handle of Abe.

The prime minister then posted the same congratulatory message in Japanese.
