<p>Bengaluru: A majority of internet users in India face connectivity issues with their broadband connections, with a third facing three or more issues monthly, as per a survey conducted by LocalCircles, released on Monday.</p><p>As per the survey, almost 62 per cent of broadband users face connection problems, with 37 per cent experiencing three or more issues monthly. Just over half (51 per cent) of the users said that the time taken to resolve issues by the service providers exceeds 24 hours, and 66 per cent said they would be willing to switch internet providers for quality, price and better service.</p><p>The survey was conducted in 333 districts among more than 1.4 lakh respondents, as per LocalCircles.</p>.One in every fourth IT professional in India clocks in 70 hours or more per week, faces burnout: Survey.<p>“Despite rapid digitalization and growth in home broadband subscribers, the broadband sector in India is facing a slowdown… Due to competition from major telecom players like Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, Local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) struggle with shrinking revenue and margins,” LocalCircles said in its survey.</p><p>It stated that “Ericsson estimates that 5G-powered FWA will rise sharply in India, reaching 85-100 million homes by 2030.”</p><p>This survey highlighted the significant concerns among broadband users in India and was conducted to evaluate consumer satisfaction regarding home internet connectivity which is a critical necessity for education, work and daily activities.</p>
