<p>New Delhi: Government has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday morning to brief leaders about the strikes carried by the armed forces on terror camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir (PoK) following the Pahalgam attack and future course of action.</p><p>Parliamentary floor leaders have been invited to the meeting at Parliament Library Building at 11 AM. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, "the government has called an all party leaders meeting at 11 AM on 8t May, 2025 at Committee Room G-074 in the Parliament Library Building, Parliament Complex in New Delhi."</p><p>There was no official word on who all will attend from the government side. Leaders and Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge (Rajya Sabha) and Rahul Gandhi (Lok Sabha) will attend the meeting. Trinamool Congress' Sudip Bandyopadhyay and CPI(M)'s John Brittas among others will also attend the meeting.</p>.<p>Congress General Secretary (Communications) Jairam Ramesh said they expect Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend “at least tomorrow’s meeting” while recalling that he had given the deliberations of April 24 a miss despite Opposition parties seeking his presence.</p><p>Parties with less than five MPs in Parliament are learnt to have been not invited. </p><p>Earlier on April 24, the government had convened an all-party meeting to brief the leaders about the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed.</p><p>At the meeting, the government had admitted to a security lapse at terror-ravaged Pahalgam’s Baisaran valley. Government had then claimed that the locality was opened to tourists two months ahead of schedule without informing agencies, which was refuted by locals who said that it is open throughout except for snow-fall months and Amarnath Yatra period.</p>
