<p>Paris: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met United States Vice President J D Vance and his Indian American wife Usha Vance in Paris on Tuesday.</p><p> Vance called on Modi on the sideline of the AI Action Summit in Paris. He was accompanied by Usha – the daughter of Krish and Lakshmi Chilukuri, who had migrated to the US from Andhra Pradesh in India in the early 1980s.</p><p>Modi posted images of the meeting on X, showing him with the Vance family, including their sons Ewan and Vivek.</p><p>The prime minister’s post read: “Had a wonderful meeting with US VP J.D. Vance and his family. We had a great conversation on various subjects. Delighted to join them in celebrating the joyous birthday of their son, Vivek!”</p>.<p>The meeting between Modi and Vance came just a day before the prime minister would fly to Washington DC for a meeting with US President Donald Trump.</p> <p>Modi had congratulated Vance for winning the US presidential elections with Trump. “Congratulations! Great victory!” Modi told Vance after President Emmanuel Macron of France introduced him to the US vice president during a dinner he had hosted for the leaders at Élysée Palace in Paris on Monday.</p>
