Pramod Sawant gets emotional

"I owe this chair to him," said newly appointed Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant remembering Manohar Parrikar.

"Whatever I am today is because of him. He made me an MLA, he made me the Speaker," he said, as he got emotional while he spoke in the Goa Legislative Assembly on Wednesday, during the condolence motion ahead of the trust vote.

Cutting across party lines, members from both the Treasury and Opposition benches recalled Parrikar's contributions and assured that his legacy will be taken forward.
