Raipur DEO bans mobile phones in schools

Raipur District Education Officer has issued a circular to all Block Education Officers, principals and headmasters of schools in the district to ban the use of cell phones in schools.

The circular issued by DEO A N Banjara covers government, government aided and private higher secondary and high schools. It states, “During inspection of schools, it was found that boys and girls are using mobile phones, which is affecting teaching and learning, besides other school activities. It was also brought to our notice that mobile phones are being misused.”

“Therefore, it is directed that students should be restrained from bringing cell phones to school by advising them. The students and their parents should also be counselled on the rational side of the direction,” states the order.
