In a bizarre incident, a bride's family shaved off the groom's brother's moustache, after they called off the engagement.

The incident took place in Rajasthan's Karauli district where the bride's family performed the act in the public, as reported by News18.

The altercation began after the groom's sister reportedly disapproved of the bride. Angered by the decision, the bride's family shaved off his brother's moustache.

As per the report, the bride's family was unhappy that they called off the engagement. However, in another video posted by the groom, he has kept his side of the story, as per News18 report.

He said that his family was not the one who called off the engagement and that they were not at fault.

He asserted that they were shown a different picture of the bride before the ceremony. "The bride to be shown in the photo and the one he was supposed to be engaged to, were two different persons," he said as per the report.

Following this, the groom's family insisted on giving them some more time to make a decision, he said.

"An attempt was made to put us under unnecessary pressure. We were publicly humiliated," he told the publication.
