‘Reconsider decision to ban Kawad Yatra’: VHP to Uttarakhand and UP govts

After Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh decided to ban Kawad Yatra, Vishva Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) joint general secretary Surendra Jain appealed the two state governments to rethink their decision and allow the pilgrimage with restrictions. VHP leader said, “I appeal to UP & Uttarakhand govts to reconsider their decisions to ban Kawad Yatra. We urge top court not to be selective on this issue. Hasn't Kerala govt given relaxation on Eid-ul-Adha? Shouldn't the SC take suo moto cognizance on it?”
