<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that he rejected invitation of Donald Trump to visit the United States as visiting Odisha was more important for him.</p><p>Modi, who earlier sounded the poll bugle in Bihar with a rally, reached Odisha in the afternoon where he took part in a road show and a rally.</p><p>"I humbly rejected invitation of President Donald Trump to visit US to come to the Land of Lord Jagannath", Modi said. </p><p>Modi also hailed the BJP's first year of governance in Odisha as he addressed a rally.</p><p>"The Odisha's BJP government fulfilled the demands of people as four gates of Puri Jagannath temple, its 'Ratna Bhandar' have been reopened," Modi said. </p>.In poll-bound Bihar, Modi harps on Lalu era 'jungle raj', attacks him for 'insulting' Ambedkar.<p>Trump earlier this week after returning from the G7 Summit abruptly, held a call with PM Modi where the latter reiterated firmly that India does not and will "never accept" mediation and that the discussions between Indian and Pakistani militaries on cessation of military actions were initiated at Islamabad's request. </p><p>the US President, on his part, a day later said the two “very smart” leaders of India and Pakistan “decided” not to continue a war that could have turned nuclear, the first time in weeks he did not credit himself for stopping of hostilities between the two neighbouring nations. </p><p>Coming back to Modi's visit in Odisha, the PM on Friday launched 105 development projects valued at over Rs 18,600 crores, unveiled the “Odisha Vision Document” and flagged off new trains.</p><p>He also felicitated several people, including ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and others.</p><p>This was the PM's sixth time since the BJP government was formed in the state in June 2024.</p><p>The projects launched included drinking water and irrigation, health infrastructure, rural roads and bridges, national highways and railway infrastructure.</p> <p><em>(With PTI inputs)</em></p>
