<p>Six people accused of being involved in an online sex racket were on Monday sent to police custody even as a key accused in the case surrendered before the investigating officer. <br /><br /></p>.<p>In the wake of an order from the Thiruvananthapuram Principal Sessions Court, the accused — including Kiss of Love activists Rahul Pasupalan and his wife Rashmi Nair — will be in police custody for seven days. <br /><br />The accused were arrested last week in Kochi during state-wide raids conducted under Operation Big Daddy. <br /><br />The four others arrested are: Abdul Khader alias Akbar, the alleged kingpin of the racket, Lineesh Mathew, Ajeesh and Aashiq. The police had also handed over to the Child Welfare Committee two minor girls, identified as sisters, brought in from Bengaluru by Lineesh, a woman based in Lingarajapuram in Bengaluru.<br /><br />Joshy Joseph, a man with an alleged history in trafficking girls and an accused in the Paravur sex racket case, surrendered in connection with the case. <br /><br />Rahul Pasupalan, while being produced at the court, told reporters that he was being “framed” in the case. <br /><br />A Karnataka police team is learnt to be planning to join the probe in connection with the two minor girls who were flown in from Bengaluru. <br /></p>
