A Special CBI court hearing on the central probe agency’s arguments in the Adarsh Housing scam, was on Monday adjourned till August 6.

Earlier in the month, the CBI had filed a chargesheet in the case against 13 people, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan.

On being informed by both prosecution and defence lawyers that the Bombay High Court will hear the issue of CBI’s jurisdiction in the case on August 3, Special CBI Judge M V Kulkarni adjourned the hearing till August 6.

The special CBI court was scheduled to hear the prosecution’s arguments on the 10,000-page chargesheet and the issue of notices to the 13 accused. Earlier in the month, the state government had moved the High Court challenging CBI's jurisdiction in the matter.
