<p>A section of the Muslim clergy is up in arms against SRK’s “My Name is Khan,” though for an altogether different reason. Imam Barkati of Kolkata’s Tipu Sultan Mosque has issued a fatwa, urging people in the community to boycott the film and, much like Sena storm-troopers, exhorting them to rip film posters wherever they would find them.<br /><br />“I appeal to you not to see the movie; besides that, you should also approach your neighbours advising them against seeing the film. Over and above this, wherever you see the poster of the film, you just tear them down,” Barkati proclaimed. <br /><br />His proclamation on Thursday came basically from an anti-Left platform and the reason has just nothing to do with SRK’s alleged non-selection of Pakistani players in the third edition of IPL. <br /><br />Barkati’s umbrage stems from the fact that Shah Rukh Khan has signed up Asok Todi as the title sponsor for his IPL team Kolkata Knights Rider. <br /><br />Todi has currently been under trial for abetting the suicide of Muslim youth Rizwanur Rahman whose mutilated body was found beside the railway track on September 21, 2007, near a north Kolkata rail station.<br /></p>
