Anything that is remotely associated with Rajinikanth is something to be treasured, and that is exactly what Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra has done.
The Tamil superstar, who plays the role of Karikalan in 'Kaala', moves around the slums of Dharavi in Mumbai in a black Mahindra Thar and Anand Mahindra thought the vehicle should no longer be on the road and it should be displayed at his company's museum as a treasure trove.
Last year, when the posters of 'Kaala' was released, Anand Mahindra spotted the Thar on which Rajinikanth was posing and immediately put in a request to the film's producer Dhanush for the vehicle to be given to him.
Since the movie was still in progress, Dhanush asked Anand Mahindra to wait and the business magnate got the vehicle finally after the shooting was over.
“Remember I wanted the Thar used for the poster shot of #Kaala for our museum? Well @dhanushkraja obliged & it’s safe at #MahindraResearchValley in Chennai,” Anand Mahindra tweeted.
After Anand Mahindra's tweet, many Twitter users asked whether they can take a picture with the Jeep.
Ok so you all had asked whether you could pose with the #kaala Thar & get your selfies... Here you go...You also gave great advice about taking the Thar on a selfie roadshow & we will do that as well after Chennai... https://t.co/f8R4g3ESj3

The Thar will now be on display at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai until Sunday for Rajinikanth fans to take a picture.
